Four Point Inspections
A Four Point Inspection may be required by your insurance company if the home is over 30 years old, is a foreclosure, or for other reasons. Insurance companies are concerned about certain types of homes that may have conditions that could be a liability to them.
A Four Point Inspection is a limited scope evaluation and is not intended to be a substitute for a more comprehensive Standard Home Inspection.
Four major systems of the home are inspected:
Electrical System

Roof

The roof covering material, age, and remaining useful life

Visible signs of damage, deterioration, or leaks

Overall condition of the roof
